卢卡斯博尔赫斯 is an assistant professor of trombone at bet8九州登录入口 和 holds a doctoral degree from the University of North Texas (UNT), Master’s degree from Indiana University 和 Bachelor’s degree from  Universidade de Brasilia  (巴西).

Before his appointment at 俄亥俄州, Dr. Borges served as a teaching fellow at UNT for four years 和 maintained a private studio in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. He was also previously a faculty member at Escola de Música de Brasilia.  Additionally, he has been invited to teach 和 perform in international festivals such as  II Festival Internacional de Múica Erudita de Piracicaba  (2011),  35o Curso Internacional de Verão da Escola de Música de Brasília  (2013)和  第二十五章   Festival Internacional de Música Colonial Brasileira e Música Antigua  (2014) in Juiz de Fora, Brazil.    

Dr. Borges was a member of the Bloomington Camerata Orchestra, Orchestra Filarmônica de Brasília, 和 guest musician with the Richmond Symphony Orchestra (Indiana), West Virginia Symphony, Ohio Valley Symphony, 和  Orquestra Sinfônica do Teatro Nacional (巴西) among others 管弦乐队 in the USA 和 Brazil. An active chamber musician, Dr. Borges was a founding member of many chamber groups 包括 长号s SA, 细铜, 和 Impact Brass Quintet. He was also a member of the Bell Street Four 和 North Texas 长号 Consortium. 目前,博士. Borges is a member of OhioBrass (俄亥俄州 教师 Brass Quintet), Ohio 长号 Quartet 和 3Basso Low Brass Trio. His playing can be heard in many commercial recordings through labels such as GIA, Biscoito Classico, 菌髓, 和 Tratore Music. Dr. Borges recently performed the première recording of Dana Wilson’s  Concerto for 长号, which was released in late 2016.      

Borges has performed at many national 和 international conventions such as the International 长号 Festival, Texas Music Educator Association Convention, Big Twelve 长号 Conference, International Trumpet Guild Conference, 和 TCU 长号 Summit (2016). He has toured with a variety of chamber groups, 管弦乐队, 和 popular ensembles though out South, Central 和 North. He has performed solo recitals 和 given master classes in music schools nationally 和 abroad, 包括, University of Central Arkansas, 密苏里州, Ohio State 和 West Virginia Universities, 以及 Universidad Autónoma de Aguascalientes  (墨西哥). Borges is a Conn-Selmer Performing Artist.

Borges has been fortunate to receive instruction from many world-class brass players, however his primary mentors are Paulo Roberto da Silva, Dr. Carlos Eduardo Mello, Wagner Polistchuck, Peter Ellefson, Vern Kagarice 和 Tony Baker.
